First Conference for Exchange of the Chinese Policy on Overseas-funded Enterprises

A lot of overseas-funded enterprises developed business in China since reform and openness. The First Conference for Exchange of the Chinese Policy on Overseas-funded Enterprises was held by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries in Beijing in September 2002 to actively publicize the relevant policies and regulations, guide the overseas-funded enterprises, and promote the development of overseas-funded enterprises, and the prosperity and stability of local economy. The activity was planned and implemented by China Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries. About 100 representatives from overseas-funded enterprises took part in the conference.

Chairman of CPPCC Li Ruihuan met with the representatives and spoke highly of the conference. Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress Wang Guangying, Vice Chairman of CPPCC Sun Fuling, Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Cheng Fei, Minister of the Ministry of Justice Zou Yu, Chairman of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Chen Haosu, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Li Xiaolin, Vice Chairman China-Japan Friendship Association Huang Shiming and the principals of the General Administration of Customs and State Administration of Taxation participated in the activity.

The overseas-funded enterprises got further understanding of the relevant Chinese policy and had firm confidence in the investment and development in China through the conference.

The Second Conference for Exchange of the Chinese Policy on Overseas-funded Enterprises was held by China Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries in Shenzhen in April 2004.
